The family of a worker who died in a Pennsylvania chocolate factory explosion has filed a wrongful death suit against R.M. Palmer Co., alleging that the company ignored warnings of a gas leak before the blast that killed seven workers and injured several others. Workers had reportedly smelled gas and notified Palmer, but the company did nothing. The lawsuit also names gas utility UGI. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the explosion, which leveled a building in the factory complex and damaged several other buildings in West Reading.
