City of Atlanta Takes Legal Action Against Forest Cove Apartments Management Company

The City of Atlanta has announced a class-action lawsuit against Millennia Property Management Group, the management company of the troubled Forest Cove Apartments. The lawsuit comes after residents of the apartment complex complained about unsafe living conditions, including mold, rodents, trash, broken windows, and criminal activity. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and civil rights lawyer Ben Crump criticized Millennia for neglecting the needs of the residents and accused the company of evading its responsibilities. The City of Atlanta alleges that Millennia manages numerous apartment complexes with similar issues affecting residents in other cities. Millennia, on the other hand, claims that their intention was to invest in the redevelopment of Forest Cove but faced difficulties in securing tax credits and funding for the project.
