Sheriff's Deputy and K-9 Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on PCH

A Ventura County sheriff's deputy and his K-9 partner were injured when their vehicle was struck by an alleged drunk driver in Malibu. The driver, who was already on probation for DUI, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The deputy and his K-9 were responding to a call for a suspicious person when their SUV was hit by a speeding white Mercedes. The deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the K-9 sustained a minor cut. Both were transported to a local hospital.
