LAPD Sergeant Struck by Alleged Drunk Driver in Stolen Car Pursuit

Newly released video captures the moment a Los Angeles Police Department sergeant, Vanessa Prentice, was struck by an alleged drunk driver while trying to stop a stolen car. The incident, which occurred in September, left Prentice severely injured and she was rushed to the hospital. The suspect, Alexis Carter, was arrested on felony DUI charges. Prentice has since been released from the hospital and is on the road to recovery.
