"Fatal Deputy-Involved Shooting in Pasco County: Bodycam Video Released"

A deputy-involved shooting in Hudson, Florida, resulted in the death of a 40-year-old man, Paul Smith, who was wanted for battery by strangulation. Bodycam footage shows the deputy attempting to stop Smith, who then drove off with the deputy's legs hanging out of the car window. The deputy fired an unknown number of rounds at Smith before administering life-saving measures, but Smith later died at the hospital. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the incident, and the deputy involved has been placed on administrative leave.
