"Israeli-American Student Held Hostage in Attacks, San Diego County Office of Education Offers Support"

A recent graduate of the Solomon Schechter School of Long Island in Williston Park was among the hostages taken during the attacks on Israel, according to a rabbi from the Merrick Jewish Centre. Worried community members gathered at a "Stand With Israel" service to support each other and pray for peace. A prayer vigil in Syosset also showed support for Israel on the North Shore of Long Island.
