7th Bus of Migrant Asylum Seekers Reaches Downtown L.A. from Texas

A seventh bus carrying migrants from Texas arrived in downtown Los Angeles, bringing the total number of asylum-seekers to 283 since June 14. The bus transported 32 adults and 17 children from various countries, including Brazil, China, El Salvador, and Mexico. Upon arrival, the migrants received immediate humanitarian support at a nearby church, including food, clothing, health checks, and legal immigration orientations. The city of Los Angeles has been working with nonprofit organizations and faith partners to assist migrants in reaching their final destinations. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been sending migrants to California, citing an overwhelmed border region and Los Angeles' sanctuary city status.
