Honoring the Victims: Reflecting on the Tragedy of the Lahaina Fire

A memorial has been built at Maui County's Kelawea Mauka Makai Park to remember the victims of the deadly Lahaina fire, including 7-year-old Tony Takafua and 15-year-old Keyiro Fuentes. Led by Kiley Adolpho, a third-grade teacher, the memorial aims to honor the young lives lost and show support for their families. The community has also set up a memorial along the Lahaina Bypass with crosses for each person who died and yellow ribbons for the missing. The search for remains continues, with more children expected to be among the victims.
