"Brave Cyclists Battle Wild Cougar for 45 Minutes to Save Friend"

A group of cyclists in Washington fought off a wild cougar for 45 minutes after it attacked one of their friends during a ride, using rocks, sticks, and even a bike to save her. The 60-year-old victim suffered facial trauma and permanent nerve damage, but was able to crawl away after the animal finally let up. The cyclists, all in their 50s and 60s, displayed incredible strength and bravery during the harrowing encounter, ultimately pinning down the cougar with a bike until wildlife officials arrived and shot the animal.
