Firefighter Adopts Baby Left in Safe Haven Box

A firefighter in Florida who had been trying to have a baby for 10 years adopted a baby girl who was dropped off at a Safe Haven Baby Box at his station. The baby girl, named Zoey, was the 23rd baby dropped off nationwide since 2017. The firefighter knew he wanted to raise her as his own as soon as he saw her. Zoey's adoption was finalized a few months later and she is now nearly 6 months old, doing well and reaching all her milestones. The firefighter and his wife plan to tell Zoey about her adoption when she's older.
