The largest skilled nursing facility in St. Louis, Northview Village Nursing Home, abruptly closed, leaving approximately 170 residents without a home. The closure came after workers learned they might not be paid and walked out, causing confusion among residents and their families. The facility has been fined multiple times for federal violations, and the state health department has conducted numerous investigations. Residents were bused to other care centers, but some arrived without necessary paperwork or medication.
