The couple believes that the surge in hate is linked to the recent Israel-Hamas conflict. They emphasized the need for education to combat antisemitism, particularly in higher institutions where hate-filled rhetoric is prevalent. The Anti-Defamation League reported a 388% spike in antisemitism since the start of the conflict. Some Jewish Americans are turning to firearms for self-defense, with a California gun shop reporting a 450% increase in firearms safety tests. Despite the attack, the couple remains determined to proudly wear their yarmulkes and refuse to give in to evil.
