Gov. Kemp announces $1K bonuses for Georgia teachers and state employees

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has announced that every state employee and K-12 public school educator will receive a one-time retention bonus of $1,000, which will be included in their December paycheck. The bonuses are made possible due to the state's sound economic footing during and after the pandemic. Additionally, every public school in Georgia will receive $45,000 for school safety improvements, which will be part of the base budget every year.
