Historic Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood Engulfed in Three-Alarm Fire

A three-alarm fire broke out in the attic of the historic Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood, prompting its evacuation, but fire officials reported that crews had it knocked down 90 minutes after the initial reports. No injuries were reported, and crews from multiple fire departments were on the scene to help protect the lodge. The iconic National Historic Landmark, built in the 1930s, was successfully preserved, and everyone made it outside safely.
