WVU Reveals Final Recommendations for Academic Program Reviews

West Virginia University (WVU) has announced final recommendations for several academic programs as part of its ongoing Academic Transformation portfolio review process. The recommendations include eliminating foreign language majors and master's degree programs in the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Linguistics, discontinuing the BSR in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources in the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources, maintaining the accreditation for and operation of current academic programs in the School of Public Health with a reduction of 11 faculty positions, and discontinuing the BSBSE Biometric Systems Engineering program in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. The final recommendations will be presented to the Board of Governors for a vote on September 15.
