"Spelman College Makes History with $100 Million Donation, Largest Ever to an HBCU"

Spelman College, a leading institution for Black women in STEM, has received a historic $100 million donation from Ronda Stryker, the largest single gift to any historically Black college or university (HBCU) in the United States. The majority of the donation will fund endowed scholarships, supporting current and future students, while the remaining 25% will go towards housing and other critical projects at the school. Spelman's president, Helene Gayle, expressed gratitude for the transformative gift, which aims to open doors for young women and inspire others to invest in HBCUs.
