Record-breaking high schooler chooses Ivy League after $10m in scholarship offers.

Dennis Maliq Barnes, a 16-year-old high school student from New Orleans, has set a US record by receiving over $10m in scholarship offers from nearly 190 universities and colleges across the US. Barnes has chosen to enroll at Cornell University to study computer science after his graduation from International High School. He hopes his achievement will inspire his peers to surpass academic expectations and realize the amount of academic aid available. Barnes has already accumulated 27 college credits through a dual enrollment program offered by Southern University at New Orleans.
