Indiana's New Budget: Teacher Raises and Funding Increases for Purdue and Schools.

The Indiana General Assembly has adopted a two-year budget that includes increases in operating funding for Purdue University, as well as funding for the establishment of Purdue University in Indianapolis and construction of the Clinical Education Building for Pharmacy and Nursing. Purdue University in Indianapolis received the full operating request made by the university, while Purdue West Lafayette was approved an $89 million appropriation for construction of the Clinical Education Building for Nursing and Pharmacy. Other line items that received increased appropriations include the Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, County Agricultural Extension Educators, and Agricultural Research and Extension – Crossroads.
