Heatwave Forces Early Dismissal at Milwaukee Public Schools

Milwaukee Public Schools will dismiss students early on the first day of school due to excessive heat, with schools starting at regular times and dismissals staggered throughout the morning and early afternoon. Breakfast and lunch will still be served, and buses will pick up students at the early dismissal times. All after-school activities, Community Learning Centers, and Milwaukee Recreation Programs will be canceled for the afternoon and evening.
