Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines rejected San Francisco State University's statement thanking students who protested "peacefully" at a Turning Point USA event where she was physically assaulted and barricaded in a classroom. Gaines' agent called for the expulsion of the students involved in the alleged assault and the firing of any staff member who did not attempt to end the assault. The university police department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the situation.
