Denver Schools Release Students Early Due to Heat Wave

Due to high temperatures and lack of air conditioning in many schools, several Denver Public Schools will have an early dismissal on Tuesday. As the heatwave continues, 37 schools in the district are without air conditioning. The Pinpoint Weather team forecasts temperatures in the upper 90s. DPS has identified 55 buildings in need of air conditioning, with nearly half already upgraded using funds from a bond measure. More schools may be added to the early dismissal list.
