Controversial CUNY Law commencement speech sparks calls to strip government funding.

Calls are growing for the City University of New York (CUNY) to lose its government funding after a pro-Palestine graduating student used her commencement speech to denigrate Israel, the NYPD, the US Armed Forces, and local politicians. Jewish groups are demanding to know why CUNY allowed such pro-Palestinian commentary at the commencement ceremony for a second year. CUNY is yet to denounce either speech. The annual cost of tuition at CUNY Law is $15,000, and the university receives $2.8 billion in government funding.
