Combatting Antisemitism: Universities and Leaders Take Action

Columbia University has established an antisemitism task force in response to a surge in reported antisemitic attacks on its campus following the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas. The task force, led by campus professors, will recommend changes to foster inclusivity and may include academic adjustments and training. In addition, the university has activated a doxxing resource group to protect pro-Palestinian students who have been targeted. The group will provide support for reporting harassment and access to digital threat investigation and privacy scrubbing experts. The task force is intended to be a permanent fixture, while the doxxing resource group is scheduled to operate until November, subject to demand.
