"Arrests and Suspensions: Pomona College Students Protest and Face Consequences"

At least 18 students at Pomona College face suspension following a protest over the removal of a "mock apartheid wall" created by students on campus. The student-led activist group Pomona Divest Apartheid claims the wall was meant to highlight the college's complicity in an "illegal occupation and genocide." Video footage shows police detaining demonstrators, while the school's president alleges that the students verbally harassed staff. Additionally, students from other Claremont Colleges will also face discipline, and 20 students were arrested, with 19 charged with trespassing and one with obstruction of justice.
