The Alisa Mathewson Kidnapping: A Father's Abduction and a Mother's Rescue.

Trevor Summers, a Florida father, abducted his estranged wife, Alisa Mathewson, for 55 hours in March 2017. He convinced his 14-year-old daughter, Arden Summers, to help him by driving her younger siblings home. Arden didn't realize her father's plans were sinister. Trevor sexually assaulted Alisa and tried to kill her twice. He was found guilty of kidnapping, attempted murder, sexual battery, child neglect, grand theft auto, and violating a restraining order. Arden read her victim impact statement at his sentencing, expressing guilt and resentment towards her father. The judge assured her she should not feel guilty for anything she did in the case.
