Rescue and Protest Follow Partial Building Collapse in Davenport, Iowa.

A partially collapsed six-story apartment building in Iowa is set to be demolished despite calls for a delay from members of the community who say their loved ones are still missing. More than a dozen people evacuated the building at the time and eight people were rescued in the 24 hours that followed. On Monday night, a ninth victim was extracted. Over 150 personnel have taken part in the "extensive rescue operations," but as of Monday night, crews had found "no confirmed viable signs of life." Members of the community organized a demonstration at the scene to protest the planned demolition.
