"Wrong address mix-up leads to fatal police shooting captured on bodycam footage"

Body camera footage has been released by the Farmington Police Department showing a deadly shooting at the wrong address. The officers were dispatched to 5308 Valley View Ave for a domestic violence call, but went to 5305 Valley View Ave instead. The responding officers discharged their weapons, killing homeowner Robert Dotson, 52, who answered the door with a firearm in his hand. None of the officers identified themselves until after shots were fired. Dotson's wife also pointed a gun out the door and shot in the direction of officers. The officers are on paid administrative leave pending the investigation.
