Woman Sentenced for Threatening Michigan Governor Whitmer

Tabitha Davis, a woman from Marshall, Michigan, has been sentenced to four months probation and a suspended sentence of 20 days in jail for making threats of violence against Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Davis pleaded guilty to malicious use of telecommunications services after sending a threatening message through Whitmer's constituent services website. The court also ordered Davis to complete mental health treatment and a substance abuse evaluation. The case comes three years after a plot to kidnap Whitmer by a group of men was foiled by the FBI.
