Wisconsin man pleads guilty in Gov. Whitmer kidnap plot.

Brian Higgins, a Wisconsin man, pleaded guilty to attempting to provide material support for terrorism in connection to a foiled plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Higgins admitted to surveilling Whitmer's vacation home and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors. He faces up to five years in prison and will testify against four other men who will go on trial later this year. Prosecutors view the plot as domestic terrorism and allege that the conspirators were affiliated with right-wing militia groups who opposed Whitmer's Covid-related public health measures.
