Asa Ellerup, the wife of Gilgo Beach murders suspect Rex Heuermann, stated through her attorneys that she is giving her husband "the benefit of the doubt" despite filing for divorce after his arrest. Heuermann has been charged with the murders of four women, known as the "Gilgo Four," and has pleaded not guilty.
