Virginia Deputies Charged with 2nd-Degree Murder in Death of Black Man in Custody.

Seven Henrico County Sheriff's deputies have been charged with second-degree murder after a video showed the deliberate and cruel treatment of 28-year-old Irvo Otieno, who was smothered to death by the weight of the deputies on top of him. The incident occurred during the intake process at Central State Hospital, a state-run mental facility in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. The prosecutor cited videos from the hospital and Henrico County jail in court, but neither video has been made available to the public yet.
