Violent Altercation at Worcester State University Leaves Two Injured

Worcester State University in Massachusetts was placed on lockdown for seven hours after two people were shot in an altercation near a parking garage. The victims and assailants were not students at the university, and both victims were hospitalized. The shooting, which occurred around 3 a.m., was determined to be the result of an altercation and not an active shooter incident. While a suspect has not yet been apprehended, authorities are investigating the incident. The university canceled all homecoming and family weekend events, along with other campus activities.
