Hannah Payne, a 25-year-old woman from Georgia, has been found guilty of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and weapons possession charges in the death of Kenneth Herring. Payne chased down Herring after witnessing him cause a minor traffic crash and claimed she intended to take down his license plate number, but witnesses testified that she cut him off, punched him, and threatened to shoot him before ultimately shooting him. Payne argued self-defense, stating that Herring grabbed her hand with the gun, causing it to go off accidentally. However, prosecutors argued that she was the initial aggressor and used excessive force. Payne's sentencing is scheduled for Friday.
