The incident occurred after police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle, which led to a series of car crashes and a suspect fleeing on foot. The suspect attempted to carjack multiple vehicles before getting into a Toyota RAV4 in a garage service bay. A K-9 police officer entered the car and struggled with the suspect, who then drove out of the parking lot, striking two vehicles. The officer fired multiple shots, fatally striking the suspect. The officer sustained injuries, and the incident is under investigation.
