Vermont student arrested for planning school attack in Minnesota dorm.

Waylon Kurts, a 20-year-old student from Vermont, has been arrested in Minnesota for allegedly planning a "mass casualty event" at St. Olaf College. Kurts was charged with conspiracy to commit assault with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit threats of violence, terroristic threats, and conspiracy to commit theft. Police found body armor, empty boxes of ammunition, fireworks, knives, a lock-pick set, and propane canisters in Kurts' room. Kurts' defense attorney denies that he was planning a school shooting and says that there were explanations for everything that police recovered from Kurts.
