"Vandal Snaps Arms off Jesus Statue Outside Boston Cathedral, Suspect Arrested"

A Boston man with a lengthy criminal record, Michael Patzelt, has been charged with assault and malicious destruction of property after breaking the arms off a 150-year-old crucifix outside the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. Patzelt, who is currently homeless, was also accused of assaulting a woman and knocking off her hat. He has multiple convictions in both Massachusetts and Florida. The judge increased his bail to $5,000 and ordered him to stay away from the cathedral and the woman he assaulted. The Archdiocese of Boston condemned the act of vandalism, and repairs have been made to the crucifix.
