However, investigators found overwhelming evidence that Michael Haight was the abusive and controlling partner. The report details how Haight removed firearms from the home, was investigated for child abuse, and searched online for “gunshot in a house” before the killings. The murder-suicide is among more than 30 family mass killings that have occurred in the United States over the past two years.
