Utah author accused of taking out $2M life insurance on poisoned husband.

Kouri Richins, a Utah woman accused of poisoning her husband with fentanyl, allegedly had nearly $2 million in life insurance policies against him. She also took out a $250,000 home equity line of credit and withdrew at least $130,000 from his bank accounts and credit cards. Her husband had contacted divorce and estate planning lawyers and altered his will to make his sister the primary beneficiary after finding out about her actions.
