An investigation into the leak of pages from the journal of the Covenant School shooter in Nashville, who killed six people earlier this year, has come back inconclusive. Nashville Police stated that they had exhausted all available investigative avenues and were unable to compel statements or cooperation from former employees. The leaked writings, originally posted online by right-wing commentator Stephen Crowder, are the subject of a battle over whether they should be released as public records. The police had placed seven officers on administrative assignment in connection with the investigation, but they have since returned to regular duties.
