Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old graphic designer and illustrator from Nashville, Tennessee, has been identified as the shooter who attacked students and teachers at the Covenant School. Police have given unclear information on Hale's gender, but a friend confirmed that Hale had recently transitioned to Aiden and began using male pronouns. Hale graduated from Nashville's Nossi College of Art & Design in 2022 and worked part-time as a grocery shopper with the food delivery service Shipt. The Covenant School is a private Presbyterian school in Nashville with some 200 students in pre-K through sixth grade.
