Unabomber Ted Kaczynski's Suicide Confirmed in Federal Prison

Ted Kaczynski, also known as the "Unabomber," died by suicide in his North Carolina prison cell at the age of 81. He was serving a life sentence for a series of bombings across the country that took place between 1978 and 1995, which killed three people and injured 23 others. Kaczynski was diagnosed with cancer, but the type and its severity are unclear. He was transferred to the North Carolina prison in 2021 from a maximum security Colorado prison because of his declining health.
