Two 16-year-olds killed in separate shootings in Urbana and Louisville.

The Champaign County Coroner has identified 16-year-old Montrell Emery as the victim of a fatal shooting outside an Urbana apartment building. Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Emery died from a gunshot wound to the head. Urbana Police are investigating the incident, with assistance from the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services Unit. There is no definitive motive for the shooting, but it does not appear to be random.
