"Trump Attends Wake for Slain NYPD Officer in Queens"

Lindy Jones, 41, has been charged with possessing and defacing a weapon in connection with the fatal shooting of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller in Queens. The shooting occurred when Officer Diller approached a car parked illegally in Far Rockaway, Queens, and a man in the passenger seat, Guy Rivera, fired a fatal shot through the window. Rivera has not been charged but is expected to face appropriate charges once he recovers from being shot by Officer Diller's partner. Jones faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted and also has an unrelated gun charge from April 2023.
