"Tragic Incidents: Parents Charged in Fatal Shootings of Young Siblings"

Selena Farrell, 23, appeared in court on manslaughter and abandonment charges after her 2-year-old son was shot and killed by his 3-year-old brother with an unsecured gun left within reach in their Covington apartment. The child later died at Children's Hospital. Farrell, already wanted on a drug parole violation, was accused of leaving the scene and arrested three days later at a hotel in Florence. The father, Tashaun Adams, was also arrested and charged with manslaughter and hindering prosecution. Another individual, Jeremiah Thomas, was charged with helping hide the suspects.
