Tragic Double Hit-and-Run Claims Life of 79-Year-Old Brooklyn Woman

A 79-year-old woman was fatally struck by two hit-and-run drivers while crossing the street in Brooklyn. The first driver, in a gray Nissan Rogue SUV, turned left onto New York Avenue and hit the victim before fleeing the scene. Moments later, the victim was hit by a white Toyota Sienna making a right turn. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and no arrests have been made. Local officials and street safety activists are calling on the city to address traffic violence and make dangerous intersections safer.
