Tragic Dog Attack Claims Life of 6-Year-Old Boy in NE Portland

Two dogs involved in a dog mauling incident that resulted in the death of a 6-year-old boy in Northeast Portland have been euthanized, according to the Portland Police Bureau. The incident occurred inside a home, where the boy's grandmother had dropped him off with her friend who owns the dogs. The friend had gone into the garage where the dogs were when the boy opened the door, leading to the attack. The dogs, described as large Great Dane-Mastiff mixes, were euthanized, while a third dog is being held during the ongoing investigation.
