Tragic Death of San Francisco Store Clerk Following Brutal Robbery

A store clerk in San Francisco, Yowhannes Tewelde, has died after being beaten into a coma by a robber. Tewelde sustained a brain injury while trying to stop the thief, who knocked him down and struck him with a bat before fleeing the scene. Despite undergoing two surgeries, Tewelde never regained consciousness. His family said he had recently undergone heart surgery and had obtained his American citizenship.
