Tragic Death of Minneapolis Store Clerk Impaled by Golf Club

A store clerk in Minneapolis, identified as Robert Skafte, was killed after being impaled with a golf club by a 44-year-old suspect. The suspect assaulted and bludgeoned Skafte behind the counter of a local grocery store before barricading himself in a nearby apartment. It took nearly six hours for authorities to arrest the suspect without incident. Homicide investigators are looking into the events leading up to the stabbing. Skafte, a dancer who performed across the Twin Cities, was remembered by community members as a bright light.
