Tragic Crash Takes Life of High School Student in Thousand Oaks

The suspect who allegedly intentionally plowed into a group of teens outside Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks, killing a 15-year-old boy, had earlier stabbed a Walmart employee in Simi Valley and brandished a firearm at a family member's home. Austin Eis, a 24-year-old homeless man and former Westlake High School student, is expected to be charged with murder, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and attempted kidnapping, among other charges. The motive for the attacks is still under investigation, and anyone who may have witnessed the attack in Simi Valley is urged to call the police.
