Tragic Crash in Las Vegas Leaves Troopers Dead, Driver's Blood Alcohol Double the Limit

The driver accused of hitting and killing two Nevada State Police officers in Las Vegas had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit several hours after the crash. Jemarcus Williams, 46, ordered a bottle of Hennessy and four vodka drinks before the hit-and-run. Williams was arrested and his bail was set at $500,000. The crash occurred at around 3:24 a.m., and Williams was arrested at 9 a.m. Two blood samples taken from Williams showed blood-alcohol levels of 0.19 and 0.17, respectively. Williams is facing multiple felony charges, including DUI resulting in death and failing to stop at the scene of a crash.
